It is with great gratitude that I inform you that some of the DFC Library staff will be assisting us at APK with this project and shelving the next few weeks. Tessa Charles (from DFC Library) started today and will be helping us until 31 May.
Today we will continue to move books from level 2 to level 3. Books on algebra, arithmetic, topology and mathematical analysis will be moved to level 3. Dewey numbers: 512 to 515.9299.
The move from level 3 to level 1 will include the last few books on western philosophy and also books on religion, natural theology and a few books on the Bible (Christianity and Judaism). Dewey numbers: 199.5 - 220.9500. The move from level 3 to level 1 should be completed within the next 3 days.
It is important to note that with each daily move we adjust the catalogue accordingly so that the new levels for books display on the catalogue. We have spend the past three days to double check if the correct levels display on the catalogue of books that have already been moved. We did found a few discrepancies and these were corrected. I would like to thank Carina Malan and Miemie van Aswegen for assisting with this. A similar process (of double checking the levels) will be followed towards the end of the project.
